Diane "The Beast" Rudolph
Diane "The Beast" Rudolph (Handle: “rudodrums”) started her music career in Miami, Florida. She began playing drums professionally in 1989. She studied privately with Michael Piescki (NY) Steve Rucker (Univ of Miami, BeeGees) and Todd Sucherman (Styx). She is a deep backbeat pocket player, with a well developed musical vocabulary to color and compliment as needed. Her style stems from a combination of influences, including her all time favorite Steve Gadd, as well as Jeff Porcaro, John Bonham, David Garibaldi, Bernard Purdie, and a slew of others. As a session player, she is fluid in most genres, however her heart lies in the Blues, Blues Rock, and Classic Funk/R ‘n B realm. She attributes her versatility to "accepting every gig possible", which gave her the opportunity to work with some of the top musicians, agents, and vocalists in the explosive, multi-cultural South Florida music scene. Diane relocated from
Florida to Arkansas in 2006. She was nicknamed "The Beast" by her former bandmates for her work ethic, rock steady time, and high energy behind the kit. She works with local, regional, and national musicians as an independent for hire. She plays bass, sings, and directs.
