DIVAS ON FIRE
The roads through Northwest Arkansas lead to Kansas City, Tulsa and Dallas. Musicians in our area learn well the rich musical heritage and famous sounds of our neighboring cities. We grow up hearing the strains of swing, jazz and blues. Our music venue, George’s Majestic Lounge, has presented live music since 1927 and features national touring acts regularly. We take it all in and we give it back to the world in our homegrown blue eyed soul. Music is part of who are from the inside out.
A thriving music culture with a long history has continued through today. Our music scene has continued to gain national attention through local favorite Barrett Baber’s appearance as a finalist on “The Voice” singing competition. Our community produces the annual Bikes, Blues & BBQ event, which is the second largest motorcycle rally in the U.S. Event producers make a point to put local musicians front and center for audiences.
Since making our debut at Bikes, Blues & BBQ two years ago, the Divas have been busy playing regional festivals and club gigs. We’ve been focusing on writing original material and honing arrangements. You’ve heard the adage “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts”. We are a group made stronger still by the experience of our individual members. Divas On Fire is a way for synergy to take over and magnify our strengths in an emotionally powerful connection to our audiences. Drawing on our individual experiences as songwriters and touring artists, we fan the flames to give audiences a moving experience they can see, hear and feel deep down.
