Alma Blecher of Aguilar Pangasinan, Philippines embraced the musical influences in the natural surroundings she grew up in. Very much like the array of music found in American soil music, traditional Filipino music is reflective of the country's history as a melting pot of different cultures. Also like many American musicians, Alma began sharing her talents in her small church where she was encouraged by a supportive family. Although she was first a guitar player she began playing bass for a band because they needed a bass player and she’s been going at it ever since. Alma moved to the states in 2002 and eventually met drummer Diane Rudolph on the local music scene. Shortly after Diane invited her to join Divas On Fire and the two of them have been the driving foundation of the music that creates the sound of this phenomenal group of women.
